Held every four years, the IUNS International Congress of Nutrition is one of the most popular and widely attended nutrition conference. Once again, Mondelēz International was pleased to participate to the 21st edition of this major event conjointly organized by the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS) and by the Sociedad Argentina de Nutrición (SAN) last October in Buenos Aires.

Mondelēz International invited conference delegates to discuss scientific evidence and latest results about four different nutrition and well-being topics at its exhibit booth:

Mondelēz International researchers hosted three poster presentations in two of their nutrition research areas of expertise: healthy eating behaviors as well as slow-release carbohydrates and glycemic response. Posters are available on this website:

Introducing the science behind 'Mindful Eating applied to snacking'

Mindful eating is an approach that has been investigated in more and more clinical studies. Its principles provide guidance regarding the behavior to adopt before and during eating occasions. Mondelēz International organized a scientific symposium entitled Mindful eating applied to snacking: a promising behavioral approach supported by research. Three experts in the fields of nutrition and food behavior, psychology and food marketing were invited to share in-depth knowledge and latest scientific advances about this emerging topic:

•Snacking in different parts of the world: a marker of dietary anarchy or a useful contributor to diet quality and weight control? Dr. France Bellisle, Paris 13 University, France. 
•Eating mindfully as a sustainable healthy behavior: theory and evidence. Dr. Jean Kristeller, Indiana State University, USA. 
•How mindfulness can benefit snacking. Dr. Yann Cornil, University of British Columbia, Canada.
